Much news! Huldrekall - River - Cloudling

Soooo it appears that i havn't posted in quite some time. Things have been busy around here this last year and I guess I've neglected my internet presence even more then usual.... oh well!

So the Huldrekall/Spektral Hatchery split came out. 1 track each from both bands of some seriously high quality material. I personally believe that the Huldrekall track is our strongest song to date, but give it a listen on bandcamp and you be the judge. Tapes are available through the bandcamp page or through oldschool email, just hit me up and let me know what you'd like and where you're at and ill send you a total including shipping.

In more recent news, Huldrekall played the Cascadian Yule festival last month. The fest went over very well and was a great experience per usual. We have 2 shows coming up soon, the first will be on 2/4 at the Oldschool Pizzeria with Cyberplasm and Carrion Bloom (ill post a flyer when one appears)


The 2nd will be the following night at Cryptatropa with Striations, Human Agony and Meth Goat. Both shows should be brutal as fuck, come out if you can!

In other news, I am pleased to announce that i will be soon entering into the studio to record a full length with my new project titled Cloudling. The album will be 6 tracks of ethereal synths and majestic acoustics, similer in some ways to my work with River but considerably more ambient. I will post more info soon.

I suppose while on the topic of River, after 6 years of silence, we have finally finished recording our new album. We are now in the mixing process and i will post a prerelease track once its available.

Nidstang and Huldrekall News

After a while with little updates im glad to announce some upcoming releases! First off, I started a solo project a few months back and broke in a new 4 track by recording an album. The band is called Nidstang and my first release is titled "Retribution Will Come".  I personally view the musical sound and approach as a solid mix of Ildjarn, Hellhammer and Rudimentary Peni. I'll be sending the files off to be pressed to pro-tape within the week, so hopefully the tapes will be available within a month. For now you can check out the recordings at nidstang.bandcamp.com

Second. Im very glad to announce that tape version of Huldrekall's yet unreleased full length "What Else Will Fade?" is in production and will be available soon. There have been many delays cause by a lot of factors but weve decided to release the tape version first while we continue to sort out the details of the LP and CD versions. More news will be posted as soon as solid confirmations are available.

Third, Huldrekall has comepleted recording and mixing of a new track that will be featured on an upcoming split 7" with fellow Olympians Spektral Hatchery. More news will come as its figured out but hopefully production will begin soon!

Huldrekall Recording, Mercury/Cavernous Womb + General News Update

It brings me much pleasure to announce that the Huldrekall west coast tour went over fantastically and that recording for our upcoming full length is complete! We now begin the mixing and mastering stage but the most difficult aspects are done and over with. We will also be performing in Seattle next month on monday the 18th at Black Lodge with the mighty Barghest! I'll post the flyer once its available.

Im also pleased to announce the arrival of E-016 "Mercury / Cavernous Womb" split. 100 copies on pro-dubbed and inlayed cassettes with hand made and numbered J-cards.  Mercury's side is split into a two part epic of dark droning synth and heavy psychedelic acoustic guitar. The Cavernous Womb side is one long hypnotic piece comprised of dueling synths and percussion. Both side would be well suited for your next trip into the astral plane.  To commemorate the arrival of the new tape we will be hosting a show for both projects within the next few weeks here in Olympia. More details will be posted as things solidify.

Here is a list of all the tapes i currently have available and what will be coming in the next few seasons (except the Mercury/Cavernous Womb which is already in). Huldrekall, Hiding and Cavernous Womb 4/3

Sunday April 3rd will bring Eugene's own black metal titans, Hiding, to the Crypt here in Olympia. Joining them will be Huldrekall (playing some new material) and a somewhat rare appearance by Cavernous Womb. Bands start at 9:45 and I believe Cavernous Womb is opening.

For the first time in almost 5 years Huldrekall is playing a show in Seattle that isent at FBK! Saturday the 30th were playing at the Black Lodge in Seattle. Its gonna be an incredibly solid line up as well, joining us will be:

Morose- Seattle awesome melodic sludge/doom

Rohit - Portland super aggressive and noisey black metal/sludge ala Bone Awl, but better

Druden - Portland rad melodic mid-tempo black metal with doom influence (ex member of Threnos!)

So after much anticipation and far too much work I am pleased to announce the arrival of six new(ish) tapes. They are as follows:

E - 001 Twilight Falls - Lore From an Ancient Forest

2nd repress of original 2004 Tape. Pro-dubbed and hand labeled. Limited to 145 hand numbered copies on card stock with new artwork. Includes 2 bonus tracks from Twilight Falls / Bleak split "Ode to Nothingness". Repeats on both sides. Twilight Falls was/is a musical entity from the west coast of America playing a style of black metal that is extremely harsh yet beautifully melodic. going between passages of intense black metal and beautiful yet twisted acoustic and ambient, this tape is seriously awesome. I cant compare it to any band cause it has a sound and style all its own. Includes members of Boreal and Stellar Decent.

E - 011 Alda - Passage

2nd press.  Pro-dubbed and hand labeled. Limited to 200 hand numbered copies on card stock.  Alda, from rural Pierce County, Cascadia plays fantastically beautiful melodic black metal in a similaresque style to Bergtatt era Ulver.  Passage is their 2nd full length offering and their best yet in my opinion.  This album includes their trademark melodic black metal sound mixed with occasional clean vocals and glorious acoustic passages.

E - 012 Huldrekall - Into the Æther

2nd press.  Pro-dubbed and hand labeled. Limited to 200 hand numbered copies on card stock w/ full color artwork.  Huldrekall is from Olympia, Cascadia and play psychedelic black metal with heavy crust punk undertones.   Into the Æther is our first full length and includes some of the most intense output we have created yet.  Includes lots of fast blast beats, headbanging riffs and ambient acoustic/synth elements.   For fans of Taake,  Nagelfar and Ludicra.

E - 013 BlackMold - Demos Compilation

Repress of 2 demos on one tape.  Pro-dubbed and hand labeled.  Limited to 100 hand numbered copies on card stock.  Includes BlackMold Rehearsal Demo 2013 (side A) and Reign in Filth Demo 2011 (side B) .  BlackMold dwells in and around the Olympia area and plays heavy crust metal in a similar vein to Axegrinder, Motorhead and Mercyful Fate.  This collection of demos is being repressed in anticipation of the first BlackMold full length, due to be recorded/released this coming fall/winter.

E - 014 River - River

1st Repress, originally released by Eternal Warfare in 2010.  Pro-dubbed and hand labeled.  Limited to 100 copies on card stock.  River hails from multiple locations in the western Washington and Oregon areas and includes members of Mania, Alda and Huldrekall.  This was our 1st full length and is an all acoustic and instrumental neo-folk album in a similar vein as Ulver's Kveldssanger album.  This album is being repressed in anticipation of a new River full length, due to be recorded and released this coming Fall/Winter as well.

E - 015 Mania - Revel

1st press on tape.  Pro-dubbed and hand labeled.  Limited to 100 copies on card stock.  Includes amazing artwork by Eric Stotik.  This is Mania's most recent full length and continues on in his trademark twisted black metal/doom sound.   Lots of ambient influence and intense blast beats sends this release waaaay over the top.  Highly recommended for fans of Ruins of Beverast and other depraved blackened doom.

In addition to the above I still have some copies of Mercury - Inari and Wake - Discography. As well as Huldrekall "wolves" shirts and will very soon(within the week) have new Huldrekall "Nazi Metalheads Fuck Off" shirts. Ill post as soon as those are available. Unfortunately due to the rising cost of bulk tapes and photo-copying all tapes will be $6 dollars from now on. news update

So first off thanks to everyone that came out to the show last night at the crypt with cold blue mountain. Secondly i wanted to mention that i made a bandcamp page for Huldrekall and that you can listen to and download the tracks from our splits with Mania and L'Acephale for free. Ive also got copies of a cd-r we recently released which includes the above mentioned tracks and comes with a hand painted cardstock case and 11x17" poster. The first set of cd'rs i made have sewn sides on the case and the new ones are folded closed. The cdr's are $6 on the bandcamp page but if you email me and ask about them i'll sell em for $5. Huldrekall is looking to book shows in Seattle and Portland at the end of January, i'll post more info as soon as its set in stone. Until next time...

Huldrekall shows and new full length

So first things first, Huldrekall has got 2 shows planned for the next few months. First is this coming Friday December 12th at Cryptatropa here in Olympia with Cold Blue Mountain and 1 other. Bands start at 9:30 sharp!

The second show will be at Obsidian on January 11th with Usnea, Badr Vogu, and Wilt.  Should be super fucking heavy so be there or be square

Also I want to mention that Huldrekall is currently busy recording for an as of yet unnamed new full length. We should be finishing up the recording later this month and ideally it will be out on cassette by February.

In other Einsamkeit news, i will be releasing Mania's most recent full length "Revel" sometime soon. Funds are drasticly low (big surprise there) so im not sure exactly when it will be out, but soon indeed.

Huldrekall, Rye Wolves and Alda show 2/7 in OLY

BlackMold Rehearsal MC + Huldrekall shows 1/22 & 2/7

So after a few years of silence, BlackMold once again has began to spread its way out of the foul depths, and after many years of thriving underground its stronger then ever before. Thats right after too long without word BlackMold returns with this limited rehearsal tape. Five tracks of heavy crusty metal for fans of MERCYFUL FATE, AXEGRINDER, and AMEBIX, definitely not recommended for fans of SCION RECORDS. Whilst not being an official Einsamkeit release, i'll have copies available for the next few months to those that are interested in hearing what we've been up to and can't wait till we finish the long awaited full length, which will hopefully be finished in the next months to come.

Also whilst I'm at it I would like to mention that Huldrekall will be playing two shows in Olympia in the next few weeks. The first will be on the 22nd of this month at Cryptatropa in downtown Oly, with ultra heavy sludgesters Cold Blue Mountain (from Chico, CA feat. members of AMAROK). The 2nd show will be on the 7th of February  with Rye Wolves, location TBA.

Huldrekall show 5/3/13 + Wake Discography cassette

First up,  Huldrekall will be performing next friday, 5/3, at the Foote St. House here in Olympia with Hall of Mosses and a few others.  I imagine the show will start about 8:30, contact me if you need directions.

Secondly, im proud to announce the completion of Einsamkeit 007, a Wake discography cassette. Wake was a melodic and thrashy Cascadian black metal band that existed as a band from 1/1/08 till roughly June 2009. The A side is the tracks from our demo cd-r from 2008. originally limited to 100, the cd sold out really quick and the tracks haven't been available untill now. The B side is tracks from The Groan of Ancient Pines, our split tape with Skagos.  Pressed on pro-tape limited to 300. Well, Eternal Warfare Fest was a fantastic succsess. essentially all of the bands totally ruled, there was tons of good friends around and good times to be had. thanks everyone that came out! Just before the fest i finished putting together a new Cavernous Womb tape.  2, twenty minute tracks of deep space drone, hand numbered and limited to 100 copies.

Also whilst at the fest i picked up some copies of the second pressing of the huldrekall/l'acephale split cd. Huldrekall/L'Acephale Cassettes + New Huldrekall Shirts

So after much too long of a wait the new Huldrekall & L'Acephale split cassette is finally available! Four new tracks of psychedelic black metal from Huldrekall and one long and incredibly intricate track of epic black metal from L'Acephale. Limited to 300 copies on pro-cassette with hand numbered dropcards.  Due to potage price increases im now simply charging $5 USD plus shipping for all tapes worldwide.

Also me and the other guys from Huldrekall have recently screened some new shirts and patches. Shirts are $10 plus shipping and are currently available in size medium (black ink on tan or dark brown) and in size large (black ink on tan, dark brown, or olive green).  Patches are silver ink on black and are free. just let me know which logo (or both) and ill send em along.

Huldrekall is playing on Saterday 3/30/13 at Eternal Warfare Fest along with L'Acephale, Barghest, False and many other awesome bands. The bands start at 2pm and i think were playing sometime around 4.  River is also playing on Sunday but im not sure what time. All 3 days should be fucking incredible. I will be in Salem from Thursday- Monday and will have my distro with me.

Aurora Bridge/Cavernous Womb, Huldrekall/L'Acephale

2 new releases for you.

1st. Aurora Bridge/Cavernous Womb split tape. One track from each band, 40 min each of intense psychedelic drone. The Aurora Bridge side is a bit more harsh while the Cavernous Womb side is considerably more ethereal. 

2nd. Huldrekall/L'Acephale split CD-R.  Brian from L'Acephale/Hyden Venet came up with the idea to make CD-Rs of the new album so that it would be available before the tapes get in. Very deluxe packaging for a CD-r. Only 50 copies were made but i only have about 10 of my share left.  I imagine this will go quickly, however if you don't mind waiting a few weeks the cassette will be here hopefully around the turn of the year.  As the previous post states you can look forward to a heavy dosage if grim and melodic black metal from both bands on this one

News & distro update

So ive been meaning to add these to the site but have been forgetful so here it goes...  Some what recently i recieved some copies of the original Wake 2008 demo cd-r. We sewed and stenciled the cases ourselves from dumpstered canvas and the cd-r comes with a pretty sweet 11"x17" poster with the lyrics on the back. Only 100 (possibly a few less) were made and most were thought to have been distributed years ago, however Taylor(Wake guitarist/vocalist) found some in an old moving box and gave some to me. Now this gem of kvltness can be yours for $10.

Also even less recently i got a bunch of copies of the River self-titled tour cassette. River on this recording is: Nate(Leech, Mania)-steel string guitar/octave mandolin/vocals, Micheal(Alda, Novemthree)-bodhrán/vocals and myself, Dylan(Wake, Huldrekall)-classical guitar/octave mandolin/vocals. We released the album for our autumnal equinox tour 2010 through nates label, Eternal Warfare, and seeing as his webstore is usually closed i figured id make it available here. Ive also decided to make all tapes $5ppd in the US.....

As far as Einsamkeit related news goes, the recording has been completed for a yet unnamed ambient split featuring Huldrekall guitarist Clay and myself on one side, and members of seattle doom band, Aurora Bridge on the other. We are currently awaiting the recording of their side and to put together the artwork but the tape should be out hopefully very soon.......
